Our core service is the delivery of emergent and non-emergent medical transport with a coverage area spanning the Lowcountry and Grand Strand. We provide Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, Wheelchair/Ambulatory, Special Event First Aid/Ambulance coverage, Long Distance Transport and Flight-Link Services. Understanding that medical care and transportation services are critically linked to aging at home, MedTrust has launched the “Living Well” Membership Program to provide peace of mind for those needing frequent medical transportation and may also include in-home assessment services. Through MedTrust Academy, we show a commitment to education, providing on-site courses to medical professionals and the community.
MedTrust Medical Transport provides emergent and non-emergent ambulance transportation services. Our EMT and Paramedic staff strive to continuously provide courteous and compassionate care to all. Our company is known for its exceptional, compassionate, and dependable service. MedTrust’s state-of-the art ambulances are equipped with advanced tracking capabilities using Fleetmatics that reports both location, routing, and driver performance in real time to our dispatch center.
Advanced Life Support is a level of medical care provided by pre-hospital emergency medical services. It consists of any invasive procedure including but not limited to; IV therapy, advanced airway care, cardiac monitoring, electrical therapy and drug therapy. ALS level transports require at least one EMT-P (paramedic) and one EMT.
Basic Life Support is a level of medical care provided by pre-hospital emergency medical services. It consists of essential non-invasive life-saving procedures including CPR, bleeding control, splinting broken bones, artificial ventilation, and basic airway management. BLS level transports require at least one EMT (emergency medical technician) and a driver.
Wheel Chair Services are available as an alternative to ambulance transportation provided by an ORS/DOT licensed vehicle, either our private Dodge Caravan or 14 passenger bus holding up to 4 wheelchairs. Our certified drivers safely transport Private Pay, facility, and worker’s compensation clients.

MedTrust is available to provide pre-scheduled long-distance Ambulance Transport outside of of the geographic area to include out-of-state transport. We will always discuss and explore options to include using one of our ambulances, providing commercial flight escort, or coordinating fixed-wing flight services. All options could include bedside to bedside care.
When the distance needed to travel is longer, air travel might be the option for you. MedTrust will provide a certified Paramedic or EMT to accompany you or your loved one on the flight. We can plan everything including coordinating with other services to provide complete bedside to bedside service. Our friendly communications staff will coordinate as little or as much of the transport as necessary to include flight arrangements and transport to your final destination post-flight.
We also provide consultation and services if you or your loved one requires a non-commercial private medical flight.
