MedTrust Names Long-Term Board Member as Chairman

Charleston-Based Regional Ambulance Provider, MedTrust Holdings, names new CEO; former CEO to remain as Founder & board member

Hanahan, SC (June 1, 2021)- MedTrust Holdings, Inc., a premier provider of ambulance services in South Carolina, Georgia and Florida, today announced the appointment of Lenna Macdonald as the company’s Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Josh Watts who will remain with the executive team serving as an officer and in the Founder role. MedTrust also announced the election of long-term board member (2018), Michael Moody, former Chairman & CEO of Force Protection, Inc. (NASDAQ: FRPT), as its independent Chairman.

Formerly, the Chief Administrative Officer, Charleston-based Ms. Macdonald joined MedTrust in 2014 and was an integral part of the company’s strategic success growing to operations in three states. Prior to MedTrust, over a 25-year career, Ms. Macdonald has served in a variety of roles including as a public company executive, angel investor, board member and advisor. Macdonald holds a JD from Emory University, attended the MSc. Program at the London School of Economics and Political Science and she holds a BA from Brown University (Biology and Political Science).

Watts, who remains with MedTrust as Founder, commented “Lenna has partnered with me since 2014 as we formulated and executed on a vision to grow a respected and successful organization.” Watts continued “we have worked together in both exciting and challenging times; during these times Lenna has always remained aligned with our core values and I trust her continued commitment as she leads the next phase of growth.”
